About Me

What's the backstory?

I'm Jacob Mennear, and I am the creator of False Faces! I have wanted to publish a game ever since I was a kid and my first year at BYU I was walking back from my Entrepreneurship class and knew I wanted to create something and I couldn't get the idea out of my head of a card game that didn't have draw piles or discard piles, instead all the cards were spread out across the table. I then slowly pieced together the rest of the game and immediately made a prototype and played with my roommates. Then another prototype and another. I was constantly improving the game each time I played it, and I made sure to play it with as many people as possible until finally we have the final version! Then I got as many artists as possible and stretched my creativity as I drew some cards, made instructions, videos, the final design, and now this website. I am so proud of what False Faces has become!
